Friends of the East River Waterfront is an organization formed to support the development of a continuous urban waterfront along Manhattan’s East River in order to benefit the community.
The image of a bridge is symbolic of the organization's goal to achieve a greater sense of connection along the East River. The bridge also relates to the landscape as several bridges run across the river at different locations.
